Thank you for checking The Zen-ter BnB as you seek a comfortable place to stay while visiting Carrollton, GA. We are located in the heart of the Historical District in Carrollton, Georgia. Each suite is totally private in our Victorian building dating back to the 1850's. We are one block south off the town square with a plethora of locally owned restaurants. Also, we are located within walking distance from the Cultural Art Center, and Amphitheater. We are perfect for the business traveler, the vacationing travelers, and as a great venue for weddings as we are located across the street overlooking 'Alice Park', which is a wonderful spot for an outdoor wedding. Each suite has its own private entrance and no shared spaces. There is parking for three cars in front and if needed some in the back.
The Zen-ter is located .1 mile South West, a short walk, from the town square. Adamson Square is where in the early days of Carrollton the farmers came to sell their wares. Also, about .1 mile North East from the our suites is the County Court House which dates back to the early 1900 which was rebuilt after the original Court house burned down. Within a stone throw North is the Museum of Quilts. There you can find beautiful handmade quilts and the history of such. Within walking distance there are four historic churches, United Methodist Church, First Baptist Church of Carrollton, Carrollton Presbyterian Church, and the St. Margaret Episcopal Church. City of Carrollton place of government is down the street as is the police station and fire department. The Zen-ter suites are .5 miles North of Tanner Health Systems, .75 miles North of Southwire, and 1 mile East of West Georgia University.
Across from our back lot sits the Carrollton Train Depot which was built around the same time as the Zen-ter BnB. The house was used as a rest stop for railroad workers. The building in which the Zen-ter suites are located has been remodeled over the years. In our remodeling process we have paid attention to the history of the building and attempted to keep the building as it originally was. Over the years past the house has been used as apartments, and office building. It has been updated as bathrooms have been added. The floors are mostly Hard Pine or Tennessee Oak. The suites have individual A/C and heating units. This Old House may be old but it is well kept.
We are Inge Mula and Alex Myllerup Brookhuis. We bought our home in 2000. Since the day we signed the papers Inge has been busy with remodeling. We love our home and decided to share the beauty of our home through the Zen-ter BnB.
